Minnie Mouse Cake

While this cake was so much fun, it was filled with challenges (which is frustrating for such a small cake). The family who asked for this cake was adorable and sweet and I felt terrible for the outcome. But all this cake proved to me was that mistakes will happen, especially when food is involved and being honest and upfront goes a long way. I learned a lot from this cake when it came to my mistakes but all in all, had a fun time putting together this sweet little 4 and 6 inch white cake.
A very Happy Birthday to this little girl who is celebrating her first birthday Minnie Mouse Style.

Fall Wedding Cake

I was commissioned to do a Wedding Cake. This was going to be the biggest cake I have ever done and I was SO excited. I spent weeks preparing and prepping for this cake. I spent hours making my fondant and planning out this cake. Overall, the bride was thrilled with how the cake turned out. Here are some pictures of the assembly and finished product.

It was a white cake, with fondant and fresh flowers.

Country Carnival Cake

I was asked a few weeks ago about donating a cake to a school's Country Carnival for a raffle. I jumped on the chance to do this and get some of my information out there and for people to see some of my work. I sat for weeks on this idea, trying to figure out how to make a Halloween/Country cake... Well after much discussion, and many drawings later my loving husband and I concocted this colorful 2 tier chocolate and white buttercream cake. Mmmm.

Monster Trucks!

I had the privilege of constructing this fun Monster Truck themed cake for my nephews 3rd birthday, and the look on his face when he saw it was priceless! So adorable! No, I didn't make trucks for it (due to a time crunch and just returning from a 4 day vacation that morning) so we improvised. But he loved it all the same! Happy Birthday Dev!

He is just so darn adorable.
